currently listening to: say my name by cyril hahn

summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes
and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit.
a few of those days
and you can become drunk with the belief
that all is right with the world.

how happy is the blameless vestal's lot
the world forgetting, by the world forgot.
eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
each prayer accepted, and each wish resigned.

before you speak, ask yourself if what you are going to say
is true
is kind
is necessary
is helpful.
if the answer is no, maybe what you are about to say
should be left unsaid.
