currently listening to: i'm on fire by bruce springsteen

read "zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance" by robert pirsig

examples of some good shit:

when one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity.
when many people suffer form a delusion, it is called a religion.

You are never dedicated to something you have complete confidence in.
No one is fanatically shouting that the sun is going to rise tomorrow.
They know it's going to rise tomorrow.
When people are fanatically dedicated to political or religious faiths or any other kinds of dogmas or goals, it's always because these dogmas or goals are in doubt.

Peace of mind produces right values,
right values produce right thoughts.
Right thoughts produce right actions and
right actions produce work which will be a material reflection
for others to see of the serenity at the center of it all.

You look at where you're going and where you are and it never makes sense,
but then you look back at where you've been and a pattern seems to emerge.

We’re in such a hurry most of the time we never get much chance to talk.
The result is a kind of endless day-to-day shallowness,
a monotony that leaves a person wondering years later
where all the time went and sorry that it’s all gone.

"a game for those who seek to find a way to leave their world behind"

currently listening to: public service announcement by jay-z

how lucky am i to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.

the following is a collection of some of my favorite moments
and all of my favorite people from the past four years.

on our way to vegas at the ripe age of 18

and on the way home

singing bon jovi in florence

bringing style back to travel

shades and blades

the time gen cried at her birthday dinner

abuse in the vistas

san luis rey
where boys become men

katris the rapist

traveling the world together

kisses from munich

tall boys on the metro

when we met ellie goulding

someone's 21st

when gen had a nose ring

san o camping

one of many champagne brunches

splashing with friends in vegas

drinking in beds in vegas

when some of us voted and obama got re-elected

usd takes on tiesto

sweater parties

underage nights at the pennant

getting dogs drunk

buenos aires

vegas again

czech's special kind of peer pressure

and vegas one more time

i am so lucky and grateful to have met some of the most intelligent, kind, and beautiful people here in san diego. people who can also drink disgusting amounts of alcohol five nights out of the week and still manage to graduate and land impressive jobs. people criticize our school for being superficial, cliquey, and fake. sometimes these things are true, but i feel fortunate to have met genuine people with impressive ambition and big hearts. dance tutorials, inappropriate humor, dirty stories, a collective 1 million calories in fireball, 1,000 hangovers spent in bed til 2, and all the other recreational fun has all affected me for the better i'm sure.

to those in san diego, let's all move two miles north to pb and pretend we're grown up.
i heard alehouse is the new comber.
and to those moving away, it won't be goodbye for long.

i wish the best of luck to all of you and i can't wait to see what wonderful things you do next.
